Research Achievement

The Institute has long been presiding over and undertaking national programs and international cooperation projects, including “973 Program”, “863 Program”, “National Sci-tech Support Program”, National Natural Science Foundation Program, National Major Science and Technology Project, Germplasm Resources Protection Program of Ministry of Agriculture, Modern Agricultural Industry Technology System, Natural Resources Technological Platform of Ministry of Science and Technology, etc.. Nearly 200 science monographs, popular science books and periodicals have been written and published, e.g., Chinese Wheat Improvement and Pedigree Analysis. 167 awards on scientific research achievements have been obtained, including one National Natural Science Award, 5 National Invention Awards, 25 National Prizes for Progress in Science and Technology, 8 National Scientific Conference Awards and 128 provincial and ministerial awards; 223 varieties provincially and nationally approved have been bred; 109 authorized patents have been granted; 2957 papers have been published on core periodicals, among which more than 1000 are SCI ones published in renowned international journals such as NATURE and NATURE GENETICS, achieving huge social and economic benefits. Remarkable progress has been made in application-oriented basic researches, with some achievements leading the world.
